Description
Most people are aware of the four seasons of winter, spring, summer and autumn. But did you know that the church also has seasons? The church year (also called the liturgical year) is the annual cycle of seasons and days observed in Christian churches.
The best place to begin understanding the seasons is with Jesus. The church’s seasons largely follow the major events of his life: his birth, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension.
This resource will help you and others understand the importance of each church year season and how it fits into our twelve-month calendar.
