The New Testament module picks up where The Story of Jesus module leaves off, giving students an understanding of the early church. Students will explore the church from its inception with the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Peter, Paul and John describe this in their letters to the churches. They will see how the church and its people are the plan for redemption given by God until Jesus returns. This will be a springboard for students thinking about themselves as an integral part of the church.

The New Testament is one of five modules that can be used as an entire curriculum or as supplementary sessions to an existing confirmation course. The other modules are God’s Big Story, The Story of Jesus, The Old Testament, and Being Lutheran. There are 37 sessions in total.
